Gear up for fun with our Children's Cycling Events at the Active Dollar Community Sports hub! Perfect for kids of all ages, our cycling events are designed to promote fitness, confidence, and teamwork in a safe and supportive environment.

Our Cycle Coaches

All of our coaches are highly qualified British Cycling Level 3 Coaches and Cycling Scotland Tutors. They are all first aid qualified and hold PVG certificates.

Neil has been a professional cycling coach for 14 years, coaching a number of cycling disciplines from  Mountain bike, road cycling and time trial. He is also a Cycling Scotland Tutor delivering Bikeability to schools and training other instructors to become trainers. He holds a Mountain bike leadership award and Mountain bike trail leader qualification.

I started racing in the early 2000's on the road and the velodrome and won a number of Scottish championships and British medals as an under 16.  I represented Scotland at the Youth Commonwealth Games in Australia 2004. After this I turned professional in the UK for a couple of years and then started to gain my coaching qualifications. I currently hold a number of British cycling qualifications including; Road and Time Trial level 3, Track level2 and speedway level 2. I also work with a Dunfermline youth cycling club on a weekly basis.  I am a Tutor with Cycling Scotland, along with delivering Bikeability in primary schools throughout the year.

Mountain Bike Club

Clothing: Please wear sensible clothing for riding a bike and being outside for the duration of each morning. Coats, gloves, suncream, a small rucksack to keep kit in when not being worn.   Bikes: Please see the attached Bike check form, it is important that all bikes are safe to be ridden and have two working brakes.   Helmets: Please bring your own helmet, helmets must be worn at all times throughout these coaching sessions.   Pedals: We strongly advise riders use flat pedals and not clip in pedals.   Food and drink: Please bring along your own drinks and snacks, we will be taking regular breaks so there will be plenty of opportunities to keep your energy levels up.   Toilets: There will be access to toilets at the Hive
